about almostmadi

almostmadi has been writing and composing her own music since the age of five. the start of her lifelong devotion to musical projects involved penning her first lyrics on a bus ride to primary school.

now 26 and a nomadic singer-songwriter, she writes and produces what she calls "sad grrl songs" from her traveling studio.

drawing inspiration from her upbringing on the east coast and early adult life in the appalachian mountain range and high desert of southern california, almostmadi's sound could best be described as americana-pop-punk. some of her notable influences are stevie nicks, bob dylan, sheryl crow, the front bottoms, avril lavigne, and taylor swift.

with live performances going on an indefinite hiatus from 2020 forward, almostmadi transitioned to online livestreams March of 2020 and has been streaming weekly since; first on facebook and more recently on twitch.
